The fourth safe blogging video

The fourth safe blogging video, I found to be a bit awkward. I believe most people find it awkward when someone such as the little girl in the video is talking to an older person online and the older person tries to get fresh with them. Thankfully, there is a block feature on some of the more common types of instant messaging, such as AIM, so one can block any predators or suspicious characters. I think the video was a bit on the broad side though, being that the video didn't make it seem as the older man wanted to bring the relationship towards sexual harrasment or things related to that, but more of a kidnapping type of activity. As a final word, I believe that if one wants to get into a relationship, they should search around where they live and not on the internet, because who knows what one will find online.

The Council Video

Recently, I viewed the safe blogging video with the council speech. I do find the message at the end very true. I find it like the saying, "if you have nothing good to say, then dont speak at all." I liked the way the directors of this clip presented the clip. I found it unique being that it uses the real world, like the first video, rather than the online cyber bully commercials which show you instant messages of the cyber bullying.

Video posts

I viewed the first video posted about web safety just around now. I would say its a pretty good video, and a bit humorous to add to that. The humor I found in it was just the expression of the people passing around the picture of the chick. One thing I do have in mind after watching that video is how most/some websites today, offer/give one the ability to remove any pictures or videos of themselves at anytime just about. The video also shows how fast one simple picture can spread around, and who knows what will happen next.

Globalization

Today, we searched on various online search engines for info on the origins of several tennis players. Those tennis players were the ones featured in the U.S. Open. Using wikipedia, finding the origin of players such as Venus and Serena Williams, and Andy Roddick were a breeze. This sparked some ideas to the saying, "It's a small world" due to the thought that people are only a cell phone call away or just a link away on the internet. Anyone can post a video of themselves, wether using a webcame or just uploading a video or two from a digital camera, thus removing the need for far travel to see others. Then, we created new accounts for google and for blogsearch. We made our own blogs online using google blogger. Also, we customized the blogs. After that day, we found out how to make links on our posts on our blogs.
